Assassin
Bound to the shadows and wedded to death, warriors of the Assassin class are silent, faceless hunters. Even when you can see them, you cannot know them, for the true nature of an Assassin is always hidden beneath a cold, featureless mask.
‘Men do not beat drums before hunting tigers.’
Assassin Philosophy
Assassin philosophy is shrouded in mystery. By their very nature Assassins are cold and secretive, and to outsiders their martial arts seem strange and obscure.
Regarded by many as wraiths, Assassins are masters of ice-based physical attacks, dealing swift deadly blows before vanishing into the shadows ready to stalk their next helpless victim.
Assassins’ Peak
Only the bravest warriors dare tread the path to Assassins’ Peak. The road is treacherous, and the path is fraught with danger. A cold, oppressive mist hangs over the trail ready to devour hapless wanderers and lead them astray.
The Assassins’ home is located in Lady’s Palace, a well defended fortress found high up in Assassins’ Peak just below the snow-line. It is barely accessible by normal means, and only a narrow rope-bridge stands between safety and oblivion. It is here an Assassin may find an abundance of icy fountains from which to draw energy and grow in power. Not only do the icy fountains provide ample resources in terms of magic, but also provide an excellent source of irrigation for the Assassins’ grape crop, which is said to be the best in the whole of China.
Class Characteristics
Though they are neither the strongest, nor the hardiest warriors in China, the Assassin class has one of the most interesting and useful skill sets of all. Just as the followers of Voodoo are reliant on poison, so the Assassins are reliant on ice. Further to their powerful ice attacks however, they have one skill in particular that makes them stand out above the rest: Invisibility.
With the power to cloak themselves, or even their allies, in a veil of Invisibility, Assassins are more than a match for any opponent.
Combat Characteristics
Born scouts, warriors of the Assassin class rely on their reflexes and dexterity in combat. Their philosophy puts an emphasis on agility and the quick demise of opponents. Everything Assassins do is focussed on striking an enemy at crucial points for a swift kill. They are comparable to other classes in many attributes, but excel in none in particular. Their main strength lies in their powerful combo-attacks combined with their excellent ice magic and class skills such as Invisibility.
